My Baby is Five!

Well, I'm a few days late posting my baby's birthday...January 31st my little Kendall turned 5! How can this be??? There is a bit of sadness as I look at my sweet, blond-haired, blue-eyed wonder, and realize this is the last of the Baby Buntings...and she's school-aged already. More on that later....

But as for Kendall, she had a wonderful birthday...complete with knock-out decorations (by daddy), loads of wrapped presents, and special guests Grandma and Grandpa Cypher from Butler. Grandma and Grandpa Bunting were greatly missed, but Kendall was able to talk to them on the phone and thank them for her big-girl subscription to "Your Big Backyard" magazine! Other exciting gifts of the day were: Baby Ariel doll (can go in the tub...big excitement there!)

Grown Ariel doll (can go in the tub...hair changes color...big excitement)

Mini-Ariel doll with clothes and shoes even I cannot put on (see a theme?)

Birthday dress & nightgown for Kirsten doll

Puppy in My Pocket Amusement Park....(every inch size dog deserves

an amusement park)

Well, there were some other gifts...such as a wooden table and chair set for the American Girl-size dolls in our family, but someone...who will remain nameless, broke the table base while trying to assemble it. We will see how good of a return policy Target has on such items!

The day was filled with Birthday cinnamon rolls (courtesy of mommy and Pillsbury) for breakfast, a dinner at Olive Garden, where we met two grown ladies also celebrating birthdays, and a lovely Barbie cake with neapolitan ice cream on the side. Kendall loved the day, but was struggling with a cold and slight fever. She looked a bit dazed and in need of a nap, but we plowed through! She thanked us all and said it was "the best birthday ever." I'm pretty sure each of the girls says this every year!!

Here are some birthday pics.

Could you baby girl possibly be any cuter?! Love the pictures. She's a doll. I can't believe she's five! I can remember when she wasn't even a thought yet. Now it's hard to imagine your lives without her--the little fashion diva that she is. Isn't the Lord so good to us, Kristin? What a blessing our children are. I love that Jude adores your girls. And I can't wait to see how they interact with our little girl. One day she will look up to the beautiful Bunting girls and want to be just like them. And I have a feeling we'll be fine with that. :)

Love you!
